Hey Netflix,

My name is Max, and I’m excited to be applying for the Editor role on the UCAN Marketing Creative Services team!

I'm an editor, colorist, motion graphics artist, and sound designer with over a decade of experience, and I'm drawn to a role that asks for all of those things at once rather than just one. I can work happily within a team or be a one-man-band, depending on what’s needed of me.

I’ve worked independently under the name June Films, where I've produced and edited commercial and marketing content for clients including Microsoft, Anthropic, Apple Music, The New York Times, and Universal Music Group. That work has ranged from short-form promotional pieces to long-form brand narratives, always working from a brief, always delivering on deadline, and always managing stakeholder feedback across multiple rounds. I've also produced content for Vsauce that's reached tens of millions of viewers, so I understand how to craft something that holds attention and communicates a message quickly.

At Boston Children's Hospital I led video production on a $3.3 million NIH-funded series, where I built the post-production workflow from scratch, managed a team of motion designers and animators, maintained an organized asset library, and delivered on a weekly cadence. That role is where I got disciplined about media management, project organization, and building systems that scale without sacrificing quality.

I'm an expert in most editing programs and work extensively in Premiere, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop, and Illustrator. I handle color correction, sound design, and motion graphics within my own edits. I'm also a software developer, and I've built proprietary tools to automate production workflows, so the mandate to eliminate, delegate, or automate resonates with how I already think about post.

I'm based in LA, I work well independently, and I'm comfortable navigating feedback from high-profile stakeholders. I'd love the opportunity to bring my craft to Netflix!
